I’ve been on hiatus for awhile. I’d love to say I’d been off pursuing a variety of different endeavors within Bitcoin, but I haven’t been. Sometimes, you just need some time to zoom out, refocus your thoughts, and redouble your efforts. But I’m back, and this place is going to be seeing some changes. First and foremost, as much as I wanted this to be a donation and referral funded website, that hasn’t worked out as well as I’d hoped. As such, two things are coming.
First, advertising. I’m interested in selling advertising space–where TBD–to hand-selected companies. Feel free to contact me if you might be interested, and we’ll work out details. If I don’t believe in your company, I won’t let you advertise here. If you’re an advertising reseller, feel free to contact me, and I’ll think about it. I’m primarily interested in selling the advertising space to cryptocurrency companies.
Second, and I’m sure this will rub some people the wrong way (although I hope they’ll read this whole paragraph before declaring me a sell-out), I’ll be offering paid service reviews. I am constantly bombarded with requests to review services of all kinds within the Bitcoin space, and I’ve turned most of them down. I add reviews for services when they’ve gone past a certain intangible critical mass–when I consider them noteworthy and established enough to warrant a space on my page. I’m going to continue adding companies as they pass that barrier for reviews–and I have some work to do to catch up to the past few months of developments in cryptocurrency. However, if you don’t want to wait–you can pay me, and I will add a review for your service immediately (pending schedule constraints, etc.).
I will not be any kinder than I usually am. If your service is not useful, I will review you badly. If it looks like a scam, I will review you badly. If I am not confident in your management team, in your business model, in your capital reserves, in your technical functionality, I will review you badly. If your gambling service is not provably fair, I will stamp a big F on the page.
I don’t believe all press is good press, and I’m happy to prove it to anyone who wants it shown to them. This service should be a useful thing for exactly one kind of company: provably good companies who are recent additions to the Bitcoin world and haven’t achieved the buzz they needed. And that’s just who I want to use it.
The price for adding a review is a flat 1 BTC; obviously non-refundable. It is available to any company, service, etc. within the cryptocurrency space, provided it is not obviously illegal.
Use my contact page if you’re interested in this opportunity, or in the advertising opportunity.
Glad to be back! Look forward to some relatively regular content from this blog again.
