I would stay so far away from this. So, so far. I’m currently composing a full update on why, but I believe that for now it should suffice to say that the market has decided that a dollar on Gox is worth .85c, and that that alone should ward you far away from this abyss of money. Here is my full-length explanation of why. Yes, it’s enough of a disaster that it got its own post.
Details, Pros, and Cons are completely irrelevant for MtGox. They are in the midst of some very serious struggles. If you already have money on MtGox, I’m sorry, that’s not fun. If you don’t have money there: do not put money there. It is not a good place.
Ease of Use: 2/10 (verification is required to do anything and takes anywhere from a week to a month and a half)
Trading Utility: 1/10 (low volume, limited functionality, and a market that has no counterparts?)
Customer Service: 1/10
Would I recommend it to my mother? Never.
